Welcome to JohnSigler.Com

John Sigler is a freelance writer, democratic socialist activist, and aspiring independent journalist, currently based in Denver, Colorado. Starting in 2008 he will be setting out as a full-time writer and activist roving around Europe.

As detailed in the Writing Section, John Sigler has been writing for a number of years now for various mediums, including newspapers, internet news sources, and blogs. He specializes in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict (advocating one democratic secular state for all its people despite his Jewish background) and in international humanitarian law.

Freelance writing aside, John Sigler has served as editor of the now defunct journal Essays and Commentary on Contemporary Middle Eastern Affairs and as English-language editor to the Arabic/English monthly Akher Khabar newspaper formerly based in Denver, Colorado and now in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

With respect to democratic socialist activism, the Affiliations Section provides a general overview of John Sigler's organizational affiliations, independent projects, and other activist related activity. Despite the specializations referred to above, he is generally supportive of most radical issues such as Anti-Imperialism, Fair Trade, Human Rights, Civil Rights and active opposition to the current US "War on Terrorism."

For the record, John Sigler is for hire. Wherever his travels take him - which can be monitored via his blog - if you would like him to write an article for you, experience something related to the location and write about it, or even buy something locally available and mail it to you; arrangements can be made by contacting him. Prior to setting off for Europe, he intends to be available in Denver for the 2008 Democratic National Convention and is willing to write on related developments, especially regarding the protests and activist initiatives for your publication.
